WACO, Texas β A new face is headed to Waco. After his official visit over the weekend, Toledo QB Dequan Finn has officially committed to Baylor, with one year of eligibility remaining.
This past season, Finn showed promise in the rush and passing game after securing 2,657 yards for 22 touchdowns in the air, with 563 yards and seven scores on the ground. He was named to the first-team All-MAC and selected as the MAC Player of the Year, after leading the Rockets to an 11-2 season with a shot at a MAC title.
During his three seasons in the QB 1 spot for Toledo, Finn led the Rockets to a 7-6 season, 9-5 with a MAC Championship, and 11-2 year playing for another MAC title against Miami.
On3 Sports listed Finn as the No. 10 rated QB in the transfer portal.
With Jake Spavital serving as the new offensive coordinator for the Bears, a spread, up-tempo offense will be making its way to McLane, with Finn now competing for a spot on the roster.
Finn will be up against Sawyer Robertson for the starting job under center, after Blake Shapen announced he will be taking his talents to Mississippi State next season.
