Former Temple High Quarterback Chad President returns as offensive coordinator

President was serving as the offensive coordinator at Waco Midway.

TEMPLE, Texas — Temple High School Football is set to bring in a familiar face to fill the role of offensive coordinator as they enter the offseason.

Former Wildcat Quarterback Chad President is on his way back to Temple High School to lead the offense and work with the quarterbacks.

President played for the Wildcats during their 2014 state runner-up season and later went on to play quarterback at the University of Tulsa.

“It’s always been a goal of mine to go back to Temple and coach. Ever since I was 12 years old, that was my mission and goal. No matter if I was an assistant coach or coordinator," President stated.

The Wildcats struggled immensely throughout the 2023-2024 season as they ended the year with a 1-9 record, going 0-6 in conference.

There's hope that President will bring a new beginning to the Wildcats with his knowledge of the program and what it takes to get to the top of Texas high school football.

"I think the timing is right and the place is right for me professionally. I’m excited to get to work and get Temple back into the playoffs," President stated.

President had been serving as the offensive coordinator at Waco Midway for less than one year.
