WACO, Texas — Baylor had 21 athletes sign on early signing day, 16 of those football players are from Texas, earning the Bears' 2025 recruiting class the third-best in the Big 12.
Head coach Dave Aranda and company signed 10 defensive players, 10 offensive players and one kicker in the class, which included five four-star commits.
One of their signees from Lorena High School, three-star, Jackson Blackwell, has been a Baylor fan since he was a kid.
"With Jackson and [I] love his family and love everything that he's about," said head coach Dave Aranda. "He's such a great fit here, I think, you know, off the field and on the field, I think the system fits him. He is someone that is going to grow into like a captain type role. You can just see it. He's someone that can probably play sooner rather than later too. And so I'm excited for him. I think once he gets here, he's just gonna take off... He's gonna have a great career here."
As ranked by 247 sports they ranked Baylor as the No. 35 best class nationally, which is their highest ranked class since 2018.
