Just two weeks into their season, Central Texas' new indoor football team has a new head coach.
The team announced Friday, Defensive Coordinator Adrian Perez will take over for the Centex Cavalry beginning immediately.
“I appreciate the opportunity to lead this team into a winning season and seasons to come," said Perez.
The team also announced the addition of running back, Ramonce Taylor.
"This has been a rocky start for a new team in a tough experienced league," said team owner Randy Sanders. "We are taking immediate measures to smooth out our first season and put a team on the field that will be here for years to come. By bringing in local talent like Ramonce Taylor, we are solidifying our connection with this community. Ramonce brings a wealth of talent and experience with local ties to this area”
Ramonce graduated from Belton High School where he set a school record of 4,010 rushing yards.
He played at the University of Texas, where he set the record for most kick return yards in Rose Bowl history as a true freshman.
