DENISON, Texas — One of the key cogs in Baylor's women's basketball train is receiving an honor ahead of the season.
Bill Brock is in his 17th season as the associate head coach of Baylor's women's basketball team. He has been announced as a member of Grayson College's inaugural hall of fame class alongside Texas Tech head baseball coach Tim Tadlock.
Brock was the head women's basketball coach at Grayson, going 371-50 with 10 North Texas Junior College Athletic Association championships and two NJCAA national tournament berths. In 2000, he guided the Lady Vikings to a third-place finish.
Mulkey hired Brock at Baylor in 2000. Brock has been at BU for all three Lady Bear national championships, but was the associate head coach at Texas Tech for three seasons from 2006-09, where he helped compile a Top-10 recruiting class and end a long NCAA Tournament drought for the Red Raiders.
During Saturday's induction ceremony, Grayson surprised Brock by telling him the court will become "Bill Brock Court" starting next season.
