WACO, Texas — Baylor University confirmed with 6 News that Offensive Coordinator Jeff Grimes has been relieved of his duties, making him the third coordinator to be fired in the last four years at Baylor.
After joining Head Coach Dave Aranda's staff in January 2021, Grimes was able to help the Bears excel on offense as they ranked in the top-10 in program history across several categories during the 2022 season.
Unfortunately, that production has stifled, leaving the Bears with a 3-9 record at the conclusion of the 2023 regular season.
With Aranda set to return in 2024, it's unclear where the Bears will look to replace Grimes. However, as we enter the closing chapters of the 2023 season, a replacement should be expected sooner rather than later.
