WACO, Texas — Baylor All-American forward Lauren Cox will be off the court for a while after injuring her foot.

According to Baylor Athletics, Cox suffered a stress reaction to the second metatarsal on her right foot.

Cox is expected to miss several games, including Thursday night's home game against Houston Baptist.

She will rest and rehab with the Baylor Athletics medicine staff and will receive aggressive treatment to ensure progress, according to Baylor.

The senior's return will be determined based on her symptoms. In two games this season, Cox is averaging 12 points and 10 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per game.

In Baylor's national championship win against Notre Dame last year's national, Cox suffered an MCL sprain with bone bruising in her left knee. The injury did not require surgery.
