WACO, Texas — Baylor athletics announced the men and women's basketball 2024-2025 full schedule on Thursday, Sept. 26, including their Big 12 conference match ups.
Men's Basketball:
The men's basketball team will face 11 teams who made it to the Sweet 16 in the last five years. Baylor's tough schedule does include defending national champions the UConn Huskies and the 2021 national champions, Gonzaga.
Baylor will tip off against Gonzaga first on the road in their season opener on Nov. 4. The Bears will have ten non-conference games before starting Big 12 play.
Baylor opens the conference slate against Utah on New Years Eve. The Bears end the regular season at home hosting Houston on March 8 and then will travel to Kansas City, Mo. for the Big 12 Championship game.
Women's Basketball:
The Baylor women's basketball team opens up the season with an exhibition game against Langston before they host Incarnate World in their official tip off of the season.
The Bears will face 12 non-conference opponents before they host Kansas on Dec. 21 in their first Big 12 match up of the season. This will be the first time in 43 years the Baylor women's basketball team will start conference play before Christmas.
They also will host all four new members of the Big 12 conference this season which include, Colorado (Jan. 4), Arizona (Jan. 8), Arizona State (Jan. 11) and Utah (Jan. 14).
Baylor will get a week off before they welcome Oklahoma State to Waco on New Years Day.
The Bears end their regular season on Sunday, March 2, hosting TCU. They will then travel to Kansas City, Mo. on March 5-10 for the Big 12 championship.
