TEMPLE, Texas — After a COVID-19-forced, one-year hiatus, 6 Sports' Countdown to Kickoff will return Wednesday, Aug. 25.
The annual high school football preview show will air commercial-free, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on 6 News, immediately following the 6 p.m. newscast, on the 6 News digital platforms and the 6 News mobile app.
Sports director Kurtis Quillin and weekend sports anchor Niki Lattarulo will anchor the show from Bronco Field on the Lake Belton High School campus with appearances from sports reporter Matt Lively and KAGS sports crew Justin Woodard and Mike Lucas to break down the 2021 Texas High School Football season in Central Texas and the Brazos Valley.
