Waco Police had two shootings on their hands Sunday night.
Police scene

WACO, Texas — Waco saw two shootings in just a matter of hours Sunday night.  The first happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Forrest and East Clay.  Officers say there were called about a man being shot.  Police did find a 50-year-old man who had been shot several times when they got there.  That man was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police say a vehicle thought to have been involved in the shooting was found later that evening.  Several people in the vehicle were interviewed, but nobody was arrested.

Later that night, police say calls of a second shooting came in from the area of North 19th Street and Homan Avenue.  There were no injuries reported in that case, but officers were able to quickly find a vehicle matching the suspect description and stopped it.  Police say during a search of the vehicle both a handgun and drugs were found.  Jaheim Taylor, 18, was arrested on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm in a Municipality.  A 17-year-old was also arrested.
