CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (KHOU) - With the recent arrest of two men for possession of ecstasy pills, the Corpus Christi Police Department warned citizens Friday about illegal drugs that look like candy.
According to CCPD, it was Jan. 13 when officers with the Narcotics and Vice Unit arrested two men at the barge dock on North Shoreline Boulevard. One of the men, 27-year old Joshua Lindsey, allegedly had a large bag of nearly 1,000 creatively shaped and colorful ecstasy pills.
Another male, 29-year old Shamar Lindsey, was also arrested in possession of 28.8 grams of crack cocaine.
"Police want to warn everyone in the community that the ecstasy pills are illegal drugs that may be mistaken for some type of candy," the police department stated in a press release.
