AUSTIN, Texas — A resident in Stockdale claimed a Lotto Texas jackpot prize worth an estimated amount of $17.5 million for the March 9 drawing.
Before taxes, the cash value option was taken at the time of the purchase and equated to $10,081,454.18.
The ticket was purchased at Heifer's North Convenience Store on the 6301 block of North Dixie Boulevard in Odessa. The winner, who chose to stay anonymous, chose numbers that matched all six of the numbers drawn (17-23-26-32-38-45).
Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from one to 54 and if one matches them, they have a shot at winning a multimillion-dollar jackpot. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. A player is able to select the Extra! add-on feature for just $1 extra for a chance to win up to $100,000 more on non-jackpot prizes.
