Suspect charged in Killeen shooting that sent woman to hospital in critical condition

KILLEEN, Texas — UPDATE: The Bell County District Attorney's Office charged Cynthia Ann Wilson, 45, with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the shooting. Her bond was set at $200,000.

A woman was shot in the 2800 block of Larissa Drive Thursday evening after arguing with another woman, the Killeen Police Department said. 

According to the department, officers were called to the scene at 7:47 p.m., and the victim had to be flown to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

The shooter barricaded herself inside a home, then about 15 minutes later, she came out and surrendered to police, the department said. 

The shooting is being investigated.
