HILL COUNTY, Texas — Beginning Monday, Aug. 19, TxDOT will close FM 66 northeast of Itasca. The closure will be at FM 66 and Valley Branch to replace a bridge near County Road 4419.
The full closure will require a detour that will direct travelers to I-35W and FM 916 back to FM 66, according to the city.
Construction crews will also replace the Weir Branch bridge on FM 66. The city says both bridge replacements and closures will be active through next summer.
