CHINA SPRING, Texas — The China Spring Volunteer Fire Department received a call around 12 p.m. regarding a vehicle and grass fire.
The department did not have any members available to respond, but the Waco FD and Speegleville VFD both went to the scene and took care of the fire.
China Spring VFD says it is unfortunately common for them to not have members to respond during daytime hours, and asks that anyone who is looking to serve their community to come to their meeting on Oct. 1 to get involved.
