Milam County Deputies talk suspect into surrendering after two people shot

The suspect, Reginald England, is in custody and faces two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

CAMERON, Texas — Two people were shot at the Cameron Associate Apartments Thursday night, according to the Milam County Sheriff's Office.

Cameron police were the first to respond to the apartments on West 4th St. across from the Brookshire Brothers grocery store around 7:30 p.m.

The two victims were taken to the hospital but with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the sheriff's department, the alleged suspect was in a nearby apartment. Deputies managed to speak with the man by telephone and convinced him to surrender. 

The suspect, later identified as Reginald England, 26, was taken to the Milam County Jail and faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
