HOUSTON, Texas — Two Killeen ISD students were taken to the hospital and more were left with minor injuries after a school bus was involved in a crash in Houston on July 10, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to Houston PD, officers were working traffic control for an Astros game when they came upon a two-vehicle crash around 9:40 p.m. Police believe a sedan T-boned a small Killeen ISD school bus with seven students on board.
The Houston Fire Department reportedly responded and treated several students for "minor cuts, bumps and bruises". Two 18-year-old students were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, police said.
Houston PD stated their preliminary report suggests the sedan caused the crash after failing to yield right of way to the bus.
The students were leaving the Astros game when the crash took place, police said.
