COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The College Station Police Department recovered stolen guns and arrested three people following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Texas Avenue.
On Saturday, police officers pulled over a vehicle and, with the assistance of a K9 unit, found a gun in the car. The gun had been previously reported as stolen to the Houston Police Department, per College Station PD's release.
Officers learned the weapon belonged to a security guard, Simon Cardenas, inside the Knights Club, according to College Station PD.
Law enforcement discovered Cardenas was not licensed to work as a security guard in Texas. Furthermore, Cardenas was wearing body armor and he was formerly convicted, which prohibited him from possessing a gun as well as body armor.
Cardenas, who is from Houston, was reportedly taken into custody on Saturday for illegal possession of a weapon and body armor.
