HOLLAND, Texas — The Haunting of Holland Haunted House hosted by the Holland Chamber of Commerce gives the community a scare for a good cause.
The Haunting of Holland isn't just about scares; it aims to raise funds for local high school scholarships. Brian Smith, a chamber board member, created the idea of a haunted house as one of this year's fundraising events.
"You know, when you're in a small town like this, there's not a ton to do, especially, you know, if you're a youth. So, people go to Temple, Waco, or Austin," Smith said. "I've heard a lot of positive feedback that there's something to do in Holland, and we don't have to drive all over town."
"The Butcher House" features two distinct scare levels: a more extreme version for thrill-seekers and a family-friendly option for younger guests.
Attendees can expect a well-crafted experience with spooky decorations, sound effects, and actors ready to jump out from the shadows. The Holland Chamber of Commerce wants everyone to enjoy Halloween in a fun and safe environment.
The Haunting of Holland will be open again this Saturday, October 26th, from 8 PM to 10 PM for anyone who missed the event.
