The City of Temple’s Annual Christmas Parade returns on Monday, Dec. 2, kicking off the holiday season with festive floats, local businesses and a grand entrance by Santa Claus.
The parade has been a tradition since 1946 and is one of the first major holiday events in Temple. With the theme “A Toyland Christmas,” the parade promises to be a spectacular celebration of the season, with over 100 unique, illuminated displays from local businesses, organizations and community groups.
Event Details:
- Date: Monday, Dec. 2, 2024
- Time: 6:30 p.m. (parade lasts approximately 90 minutes)
- Theme: “A Toyland Christmas”
- Start Location: Intersection of E. Adams Avenue and N. 8th Street.
- Route: The parade will head west along Adams Avenue, passing in front of the Municipal Building, continuing to N. 23rd Street and disbanding at Temple High School.
- Distance: 1.4 miles

- Parade Route: The parade can be viewed anywhere along the route, which runs through downtown Temple.
- Seating: First-come, first-served.
