TEMPLE, Texas — The City of Temple says the reconstruction of Old Waco Road from Tarver Drive to Riverside Trail will cause a short-term road closure beginning on April 16.
According to the city, this closure will block access to east and westbound lanes of Riverside Trail at Old Waco Road. Because of this, traffic on Old Waco Road will detour to South Pea Ridge Road and then northwest on Charter Oak Drive to the Riverside Trail intersection.
In addition, traffic going west on Riverside Trail will be detoured southwest on Charter Oak Drive, then east on South Pea Ridge to the intersection of Old Waco Road and then north on Old Waco Road to the Riverside Trail intersection, according to the city.
Also noted, local traffic will have access to all driveways on Riverside Trail and Old Waco Road.
Drivers are asked to remain cautious when traveling in these areas of construction.
