TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple City Council canceled the May 2 Parks Bond Special Election at the Special Called Meeting on March 24.
According to the city, after Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a public health disaster and declared that holding a May election could threaten the ongoing public health crisis, the Temple City Council chose to follow the governor’s guidance to keep the public safe.
