TEMPLE, Texas — The City of Temple is currently working to drain and disinfect over 800,000 gallons of sanitary sewer overflow in two parts of Temple.
According to the city, rainfall on Tuesday, April 9 caused 402,100 gallons of sanitary sewage to overflow at 3420 Northwood Rd. In addition to this location, 489,500 gallons of sewage overflowed at 50th and West Adams.
The city says utility crews are working to fix the situation and disinfect both overflows.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has also been notified.
