LAMPASAS COUNTY, Texas — One person was taken to the hospital with injuries after a crash involving a motorcycle in Lampasas County on July 11, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS stated a Jeep Cherokee, being driven by a 68-year-old man from Granite, Oklahoma, was stopped at a stop sign on FM 2808 waiting to turn left onto FM 2657 as a motorcycle, driven by a 42-year-old man from Copperas Cove, was driving toward FM 2808 on FM 2657.
The driver of the Jeep "failed to yield right of way", said DPS, and pulled into the path of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle driver to hit the Jeep.
The driver of the motorcycle was reportedly taken to Baylor Scott & White ER in Temple by helicopter for "incapacitating injuries".
The driver of the Jeep sustained "possible injury", according to DPS, but refused treatment.
No further information has been given at this time.
