Victim identified in Killeen single-vehicle crash that left man dead

The crash occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 6.

KILLEEN, Texas — One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Killeen on July 6, according to the Killeen Police Department.

Killeen PD stated officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of E Central Texas Expressway around 3:57 a.m.

Police stated they believe a red Pontiac sedan was traveling at "high speed" when it veered off the roadway, rolling several times before coming to a stop. Police said the driver, a 31-year-old man, was killed in the accident.

Killeen Police identified the driver on Monday afternoon as Thomas Lee Feathers Jr.

An investigation into the crash is still ongoing, police say.
