MILAM COUNTY, Texas — Milam County Chief Deputy Mike Clore confirmed Monday that Sheriff Chris White resigned effective Monday for personal reasons.
The Milam County Commissioners court will appoint a new sheriff until the next election is held.
Clore said he is in charge until the new sheriff is appointed.
