MEXIA, Texas — One person is dead after a crash with a semi-trailer west of Mexia, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
On Thursday, Oct. 17, around 4 p.m., DPS troopers were notified of a crash on US-84 near FM-2705 west of Mexia. At the scene of the crash, they discovered that a Ford Mustang headed east had collided with the back of a semi-trailer that was preparing to make a left turn.
No other injuries were reported from the crash.
DPS identified Damian Molina Jr., 19, of Mexia, as the driver that was killed. Officials say next of kin has been notified and that DPS has an active and ongoing investigation into the crash.
