MEXIA, Texas — Pictures and prayers came swarming in after the Sheffield Farm & Ranch Supply went up in flames Friday night in Mexia.
According to the townspeople, fire fighters had to stand by and watch the building burn because fertilizer was keeping the fire alive from the inside.
Mexia Fire Chief Robert LaFoy told 6 News the two-story building caught fire just before 7 on Friday night. He says the fire was contained, and no one got hurt.
The cause is still unknown.
