MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — McLennan County officials helped rescue a man Friday morning that was spotted by a resident clinging to an overturned kayak in the Brazos River, according to Sheriff McNamara.
Around 9 a.m., the sheriff's department received a call regarding the man from a resident in a neighborhood near the Eagle Canyon area. The sheriff's department and Game Wardens used their helicopter and boat respectively to locate the man, who was found and rescued.
According to Sheriff McNamara, the rescue took place near Horseshoe Bend.
No injuries were reported.
