A McLennan County Assistant District Attorney is on leave after being arrested Saturday night for drinking and driving.
Kristin Parker, 27, was taken into custody by Baylor Police and was charged with DWI.
Parker is a misdemeanor prosecutor that focuses on DWI’s.
McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna released the following statement:
“I was made aware of the arrest of one of our misdemeanor prosecutors this past weekend. To say the least, I was very disappointed to learn of this news. Currently, I am out of town on a work related matter. That prosecutor has been placed on administrative leave pending my return to deal with this matter. When I return to the office on Wednesday, I will address the personnel issues related to that prosecutor’s arrest and request a judge to appoint a Special Prosecutor to handle the criminal case resulting from the arrest. The citizens of McLennan County can rest assured that this matter will be dealt with accordingly.” - Abel Reyna
