Marlin Volunteer Fire Department truck damaged in crash on Highway 6 in Falls County, southbound lanes back open

According to authorities, no one was injured in the crash.

A Marlin Volunteer Fire Department truck was struck while assisting traffic control.

FALLS COUNTY, Texas — The Falls County Sheriff's Office says a Marlin Volunteer Fire Department truck was hit while it was assisting traffic control on Highway 6 around noon on Tuesday, Jan. 9. 

According to the Sheriff's Office, no one was injured in the crash and the firefighter who was standing near the truck was able to move out of the way in time. 

Falls County Sheriff's Office closed the southbound lanes of Highway 6 in Marlin for about an hour before opening them back up right before 1 p.m. 

Hwy 6 southbound is currently shut down due to a vehicle striking a fire truck that was on scene for traffic control. ...
