The City of Marlin has updated their Stage 4 water restrictions to give updated hours to two types of businesses.
Announced Thursday evening, the new restrictions allow for laundromats and car washes to adjust their hours. Under the new rules, laundromats are able to operate between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., while car washes are allowed to operate between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.
All other Stage 4 restrictions still remain in place, the city says. Residents are also advised to conserve water as much as is feasibly possible.
The city says the changes are a result of improvements in the city's current water crisis but may be reverted if the updated restrictions don't continue to improve the current water situation.
