Marlin dogs advocacy group promotes new billboard in Waco

The group's aim is to bring transparency, accountability, and justice to those involved with the Marlin dogs.

WACO, Texas — A Central Texas advocacy group, Justice for the Marlin Dogs, is continuing to push for criminal punishment and accountability for the dogs that were mistreated at the Marlin Animal Control Center.

According to the group, a new billboard is up in Waco and it reads "STARVED! Justice For Marlin's Dogs." The billboard also includes a URL at the bottom: MarlinShelterAbuse.com. However, it appears that the link takes you to a blank Wikipedia page.

The post was shared by Dorothy Sanders, a prominent advocate in the group. In the post, Sanders doesn't reveal where the billboard is located, but encourages others to leave hints on the location in the comments.

Members of the Marlin community became outraged when several videos and images of malnourished dogs living in their own feces were shared to Facebook on Jan. 9.

The post was made by Jeffrey Rich, he says he went to the Marlin Animal Control Center in order to look for a lost dog of his, but what he found instead was an abysmal scene.
