KILLEEN, Texas — At around 4:45 p.m. Monday, a person called the Killeen Police Department to report a domestic disturbance on 58th Street in Killeen. Officers arrived at the scene and found a man outside with a gun.
The man fired one time into the air when the police arrived and went inside. He then refused to come out of the house, but later a negotiator successfully got him to leave by speaking to him on the phone
The woman involved in the domestic disturbance was not harmed and left the scene, according to the Killeen PD.
At 7:09 p.m. the man came out of the house. Officers then took the man into custody.
A juvenile was also in the house at the time of the incident but was not threatened.
Charges are pending, according to the Killeen PD.
