Killeen police investigating body found in pickup as homicide

Killeen police said officers were responding to a suspicious vehicle near Clear Creek Rd. and Golden Gate Dr. when they found the a dead man inside.

KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department said Monday evening it is investigating the death of a unresponsive man found in a pickup truck Sunday morning as a homicide.

The man, 33-year-old Seth Ward, was found in a pickup in near Clear Creek Road and Golden Gate Drive at 11:05 a.m. Sunday after responding to a suspicious vehicle call. 

Ward was pronounced dead at 11:28 a.m. Sunday. 

An autopsy was ordered, and investigation is underway.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Ward between Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30, to contact Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS or go to the Crime Stoppers website.
