Logos in Thread makes t-shirts to help other local businesses

Although business is slow now, Logos in Thread Owner Brandon McKinniss has found a way to still use his talents and help others at the same time.

HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — Brandon McKinniss owns Logos in Thread, a Harker Heights t-shirt printing company. But although business is slow now, McKinniss has found a way to still use his talents and help others at the same time.

"I know we're struggling. I know a lot of friends of mine with local businesses are struggling, so this is just an idea to see if we can help each other," McKinniss said.

He launched a new page called Centex Local, where local businesses can create custom t-shirts that Logos in Thread will then print for the community to purchase. The businesses receive a portion of all purchases.

The initiative launched this week and several local businesses have already created shirts and placed orders.

McKinniss said it's important that we support our neighbors during this tough time.

"I really think small business is the backbone of the economy and right now this is an unprecedented situation where unfortunately there's going to be some small businesses that may not make it through this and others just barely by the skin of their teeth. So it's important that we band together and all support each other as a community," McKinniss said.

The shirts available right now cost 22 dollars. Of that, 10 of those dollars will be donated to the local business that created the shirt.

If you'd like to order a shirt visit the Logos in Thread website.
