2019 Central Texas Community Veterans Day Parade marches through downtown Killeen

The city of Killeen celebrates active and veteran military personnel.

KILLEEN, Texas — The city of Killeen is celebrating active and veteran military personnel at its annual Central Texas Community Veterans Day Parade.

The parade is scheduled to start its march through historic downtown Killeen Monday at 11 a.m., but the city said spectators should arrive early to find the best parking and viewing spots.

The parade will be live on 6 News for anyone who can't make it.

The parade will travel down Ave. D from College St. to 8th St., 8th St. to Sprott St., and Sprott St. to Gray St. before ending at Ave. C, according to the city.

Retired Master Sergeant Clifford Petrey will serve as grand marshal. The theme this year is "Honoring All Who Served."
