KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to name two elementary schools that are under construction during a regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, according to a press release from the board.
The Sugar Loaf/Pershing Park campus under construction on Central Texas Expressway will retain the name Pershing Park Elementary School and the district’s two oldest elementary schools will combine as the new Killeen Elementary School.
The new Killeen Elementary campus will combine the East Ward and West Ward school communities in a three-story campus on Rancier Ave., according to a press release from the board.
