From Nov.24 through Nov. 26, The HOP will be operating the Holiday HOP

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — The Hop, a bus service that serves Central Texas, announced that it has partnered with Fort Cavazos to provide on-post residents with transportation during the Holidays.

The Holiday Hop will begin operation on Nov. 24 and last through Nov. 26 for any Fort Cavazos soldiers in need of transportation along the route.

All you need is a Department of Defense identification card in order to ride the Holiday Hop for free!

This program is intended for soldiers who live in the barracks to be able to ride to the Dining Facility, the Exchange, the Commissary, and more.

“Early next year, the bus service will expand to become a mass-transit service on post called the 'Cavazos Connector,' which will allow residents to call for service at the nearest bus stop and enable them to travel to their desired destination and back again,” Col. Lakicia Stokes, said. “This includes residents in Cavalry Family Housing and employees who work on post.”

The Holiday Hop route will operate again from Dec. 23 to Jan. 7, 2024.
