'We have such a great food scene' | Waco Restaurant Week kicks off to celebrate local culinary scene and the community

Waco Restaurant Week runs through Oct. 18 until Oct. 25th.

WACO, Texas — Waco Restaurant Week officially kicked off, bringing together over thirty local restaurants for a weeklong celebration of the city’s vibrant culinary scene.

Each restaurant offers special menu items and exclusive discounts, allowing everyone to support and connect with Waco's local businesses while exploring new flavors.

"Austin does this, and Dallas. Why doesn't Waco? We have such a great food scene. Many creative and inspiring individuals are just killing it out there," Marketing Consultant for Keep Waco Beautiful April Leman said. "We wanted to create this event to highlight the good work happening and make it local, focused, accessible."

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Waco Green Business Alliance, a partnership with the Keep Waco Beautiful Foundation that promotes sustainable practices within our community and inspires a more beautiful Waco.

Waco Restaurant Week is not just another food event. It's a celebration of the city's vibrant culinary scene. It's a chance to explore new flavors while supporting the community.

Various events, designed to be accessible to all, will occur throughout the week. These events, which are either free or low-cost, are a commitment to ensuring that all residents can enjoy Waco’s culinary offerings.

Waco Restaurant Week runs today through October 25th, encouraging locals and visitors to dine out and support. A complete list of participating restaurants and events happening throughout the week can be found here
