GALVESTON, Texas — The Coast Guard came to the rescue of two small children and two adults who were found clinging to an overturned boat off Galveston on the Fourth of July.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a report from Towboat U.S. at 6:20 p.m. about a vessel that capsized with four people on board.
Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and sent a Coast Guard crew to find them.
The crew spotted them hanging onto the boat and picked them up.
Thankfully, both children were wearing life jackets. The man and woman were not.
No one was injured.
