Family of Faith Worship Center looking for volunteers to help Franklin recover post-tornado

From 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday at the Franklin Food Pantry, the church will donate groceries, toiletries and other things tornado victims need.

FRANKLIN, Texas — Members of the Family of Faith Worship Center in Waco will be in Franklin this Saturday to donate groceries, toiletries, cases of bottled water, cleaning supplies and paper goods to victims of the tornado that hit the town last weekend.  

Pastor Ruben Andrade Jr. said Franklin City officials have asked the church to set up its distribution at the Franklin Food Pantry at 201 South Calvert St. Donations will be given out from 9 a.m. to noon in the pantry's parking lot Saturday, Andrade Jr. said.

The pantry was damaged in the tornado, Franklin officials said.

The church also plans to replace a roof on a home the tornado hit, Andrade Jr. said.
