FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — Fort Cavazos says a reported cyberattack on the nation's largest commercial prescription processor, Change Healthcare, is affecting pharmacy operations at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
According to Fort Cavazos, Change Healthcare disconnected operations to protect patient information on Feb. 21. This disconnection left systems down. However, the Medical Center will still provide outpatient prescriptions through a manual process.
Fort Cavazos says patients with urgent prescriptions will be their priority, followed by routine medications. Patients can expect extended wait periods until the issue is resolved.
