City of Waco asking for public feedback on future North Brazos Wastewater Treatment Plant

According to the City, construction isn't expected to begin until 2032.

WACO, Texas — The City of Waco is hosting a public meeting to hear feedback on the future North Brazos Wastewater Treatment Plant on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Waco Convention Center. 

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., attendees will be able to discuss different topics with the City's staff and give their feedback on the treatment plant, scheduled to be constructed in 2032. 

According to the City, the future wastewater treatment plant is going to be built on Buster Chatham Road, alongside the Brazos River and it will serve the China Spring area.

The public is encouraged to come to the meeting and discuss how and why the property was selected, water quality, permitting processes and other area treatment plants.
