MOODY, Texas — The Moody Police Department says a 6-year-old child was hit by a car after darting out into traffic on Thursday, Jan. 18.
According to Chief Roger Kennedy, at about 7:10 a.m., the child popped out from between cars and was then hit by one who was unable to stop in time.
The collision occurred past the railroad tracks near 8th Street and Pecan Street, according to police.
Chief Kennedy says the child is currently in the hospital being treated for injuries, but there has been no official word on the injuries sustained.
