Boil water notice issued for residents along FM 439

Due to a repair issue, residents are asked to boil water before drinking, cooking or making ice.

BELTON, Texas — A boil water notice has been issued for Central Texans along FM 439.

The 439 Water Supply Corporation issued the notice on Tuesday, Jan. 16, asking customers in the area to boil water before use due to a WCID#1 repair issue.

Residents on FM 439 from Sparta Road westward towards Killeen are asked to boil water before drinking, cooking or making ice.

The corporation said residents should bring water to a vigorous, rolling boil to destroy any harmful bacteria or other microbes and let it cool before using it.

Another notice will reportedly be sent out when boiling water is no longer required, said the corporation.

Those with questions are encouraged to contact Jamie Davlin at (254) 933-2133.
