GROESBECK, Texas — Blackshear-Washington Association is inviting the community to a special celebration called "I Have a Dream" to honor and commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King and Black History Month.
Originally, the event was planned for Jan. 27, but has been rescheduled to Feb. 3 at 410 Elwood Enge Dr.
The celebration will feature guest speakers and songs and will award prizes to the winners of poems/reflections about Black History or Dr. King written by students in grades four to eight.
The commemorative shirts are available for order at Diamonds and Dust in Groesbeck.
