BELLMEAD, Texas — The Bellmead Police Department says a Walmart loss prevention employee was injured after confronting a theft suspect on Nov. 21.

According to police, officers responded to the Walmart at 1521 North IH-35 in Bellmead to the report of a theft and damaged property.

Police say the suspect, Christopher Villarre Vallejo, was approached by Walmart loss prevention after leaving the store with unpaid items. Vallejo allegedly pushed one of the employees while leaving and once he made it outside, he turned and threw a bottle of brake fluid at an employee before fleeing the scene in a car.

According to police, some of the loss prevention employees suffered injuries as they attempted to avoid being hit by the brake fluid.

Once Vallejo was identified, police issued a warrant on Thursday, Dec. 7 and he was arrested and taken to McLennan County Jail without incident.
