TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department reported multiple downed signal lights and powerlines across the city following strong storms Monday morning.
The storms, which brought powerful wind gusts, left thousands of Temple residents without power. According to Oncor’s outage map, electricity is expected to be restored by Monday afternoon.
In a Facebook announcement, police urged drivers to exercise caution and treat any malfunctioning traffic signals—whether out or blinking—as four-way stops. This measure helps prevent accidents and ensures smoother traffic flow during the outages.
