HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — The Harker Heights Parks and Recreation Department is offering those with worn American flags a way to properly retire their flag with honor and respect.
Until June 14, the Parks and Recreation Department is accepting the flags at two locations within the city.
The locations include:
- The Harker Heights Activities Center located at 400 Indian Trail
- The Harker Heights Recreation Center located at 307 Miller's Crossing
The department asks those that are dropping off flags to fold them neatly and place them into a plastic bag.
